Your pulse. One beat at a time.
1st Pulse: Living with best Energy
The first Pulse will show you how energized you are in this moment. Did you know that to bring your best energy to work and life you have to be physically energized, mentally focused, emotionally balanced, wired to your soul, and spiritually aligned? Human Performance Institute®, a pioneer in proven, sustainable behavior change with over 30 years of research and results in the fields of high performance and energy management, proves that when you bring your best energy to work and life, you can accomplish remarkable things
Personal energy is not something new. The old wisdom was written by Buddha thousands of years ago: “The master of the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which; he simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”
Unfortunately, the complexity of life and work often takes toll on draining ourselves; draining our personal energy. When our physical, mental and emotional energies are at the low level, we easily lose clarity, a trait that allows us to be more productive at work and even inspire other people around us. Eventually, it also leads to increased stress and burn-out. Studies carried out in this context, almost anonymously report over a 50% of burnout and stress among employees.
This Pulse will give you a new perspective on how to boost your day-to-day energy and resiliency, so you will be able to perform at your best and up to your full potentials.
2nd Pulse: Living in Balance
The second Pulse is about how successful you are balancing the most important aspects of your life. Finding the balance between all most important aspects that create your life may sound itself the insurmountable challenge. And in its own right, as also recognized by Euripides who wrote: “ The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man. “
Bryan Dyson, former President and CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises, explained this challenge very illustrative, when asking us to imagine Life as a game in which we are juggling some Five balls in the air: work, health, family, finance and pleasure. It’s not only a skill but also an art, to keep all of them up in the air for a very long time. If we ever drop the “work” ball, which is from rubber, it will very likely bounce back. But if we drop one of the other four, that are made of glass, they can be irrevocably scuffed, damaged or even shattered.
Life balance needs continuous maintenance and effort and this is why a snapshot of your current Life balance is so important. This 2nd Pulse will help you prevent any of the balls from getting hurt. Yet, it is also good to be reminded that we cannot be in balance and have everything in every and each moment of our Life. Life balance needs to be understood as a continuous balancing process as well as an outcome, hence there may be more balance tomorrow than today. Eventually, don’t forget that “life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving” as wisely said Albert Einstein.
3rd Pulse: Living my Potentials
Third Pulse will tap into your Growth potential to better understand what limits you and how to move forward in the future, both in terms of your professional and personal development path.
We start with basics. You will get an insight into how much you respect yourself, how high is your level of self-awareness, personal development, self-actualization, and your optimism. Eventually, your personal Growth potential is a GPS for developing your professional potential, from learning and training to your career advancement and accomplishment (please note that professional growth Pulses are included only in 5 Pulses PRO and VIP packages).
On this path you should be alerted time to time by the words of Steve Jobs, chief executive officer and co-founder of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, who urged graduates at Stanford University in 2005 to pursue their dreams and see the opportunities in life’s setbacks — including death itself: “I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
4th Pulse: Living Meaningful Life
Pablo Coelho wrote that “life without meaning is life without cause”. Tom Thiss has remarked that “having a purpose is the difference between making a living and making a life,” John F. Kennedy that “efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction” and Helen Keller that “Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.”
It is time to explore how much deeply meaningful life you live and whether you are doing what you really want to do in your life, regardless if this is related to your personal life, relationships with your family and/ or friends, organization where you work, community and country where you live, and finally with our beautiful Nature – the planet Earth.
On this path we are not always sure what we are going to do next, but it is important to be very aware of what we are not going to do. As Oprah Winfrey advised: “Your real work is to figure out where your power base is and to work on that alignment of your personality, your gifts you have to give, with the real reason why you are here,” she said. “Align your personality with your purpose, and no one can touch you.”
5th Pulse: I love my life and live it fully
Most probably you have already heard about a palliative nurse who recorded the most common regrets of the dying and put her findings into a book called “The Top Five Regrets of The Dying”. When Bronnie Ware questioned about any regrets the patients had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. The most common five have been: 1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me, 2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard, 3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings, 4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends, and 5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
It’s important to be reminded that whatever stage we are at in life, there is no need for regret. When it comes to making changes, be at peace with the past and remember that each moment is a new choice. The fifth pulse will help you overcome your fears and become a more courageous “version” of yourself.
Special Pulse: Life force
It is not over yet, here is our special surprise for you. Are you among those who always wanted to be a Jedi or even Master Jedi*? Yes, now it is time to check your Life force. This is not a Pulse but rather a matrix of signals reflecting your ability to engage all energies in balance with all aspects of your life, as well as your capacity to recharge yourself on the long run.
Although it may sound fun and futuristic, this matrix could significantly boost your awareness about yourself, your long-term resiliency, and could help you become much more than you’ve ever thought was even possible!
The best thing, the size, gender, color, religion, nations,……. doesn’t matter. As Master Yoda* wisely said “Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes.”
